Why join BMYC?
BMYC is an active and friendly club with a strong social culture found on a tradition for yacht cruising and racing along the Sussex coast, further afield around the UK, Europe and across the Atlantic.
in addition to a year-round activities calendar, members can enjoy our fantastic facilities, including the Clubroom, contemporary Watershed bar and restaurant, a comfortable lounge, and sundeck setting, in the heart of Brighton Marina.
On presentation of your membership card, you and your guests can enjoy a discount on restaurant and bar prices.
We are owned and operated by our members; we welcome new member applications from persons with an interest in sailing.
Membership fees
Our membership year runs from 1 April until 31 March. Fees for new members (joining during the year) are set pro-rata rate to the current annual rate.
All Full Memberships include:
- all BMYC activities
- 20% discount at the Watershed bar and restaurant
- voting rights
For all membership types there is a £25 joining fee per adult in addition to the annual fee shown.

Single
Single membership applies to individuals over the age of 26.

Family membership applies to couples and their children under age of 18.

Concession
Concessionary membership applies if:
aged 18 to 26*,
or in full time education*,
or long-term unemployed*,
or registered disabled*,
